About the artist

Growing up in Costa Rica, creativity was never separate from everyday life — it was part of the atmosphere, the culture, the color, and the spirit of pura vida. Art has always been deeply personal to me, inspired not only by the natural beauty of the ocean and human connection, but also by my mother, who is a painter herself and one of my earliest creative influences.

My work focuses primarily on faces and the human body because I'm fascinated by emotion, movement, vulnerability, and freedom. I see the human form as a reflection of energy and identity — raw, expressive, imperfect, and alive. Through my paintings, I try to capture moments that feel emotional yet effortless, powerful yet soft.

Beyond painting, fashion has always been another major source of inspiration in my life. I studied fashion design for a period of time, and that experience shaped the way I see texture, composition, movement, and individuality. Fashion, to me, is another form of art — a language of creativity and self-expression that constantly influences my visual style.

Now living between the inspiration of Costa Rica and the coastal energy of California, I feel deeply connected to places that embody freedom, creativity, nature, and flow. Both environments share a spirit that continues to inspire my work: sunlight, ocean air, human connection, and the feeling of being fully present.

My art is ultimately about that state of flow — the freedom to feel deeply, live openly, and embrace beauty without restriction. It reflects the essence of pura vida: living with intention, passion, authenticity, and appreciation for the present moment.
